Tiga Costa Rica operates Tiga Boutique Hotel, Spa & Restaurant and the website tigahotel.com. We are responsible for the personal information described in this policy.

• Booking information: name, email address, phone number, travel dates, number of guests and special requests.
• Payment information: card payments are processed by Stripe. We receive confirmation of payment and limited details (such as card type and last four digits), but never your full card number.
• Stay information: identification details required by Costa Rican law at check-in, and services used during your stay.
• Communications: messages you send us by email, phone or WhatsApp.
• Website data: basic technical information such as browser type and pages visited, through essential cookies. See our Cookie Policy.

3. How we use your information

• To take, confirm and manage your booking and payments.
• To provide accommodation, spa, salon and restaurant services.
• To contact you about your booking, including pre-arrival information.
• To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
• To prevent fraud and keep our guests, staff and systems secure.
• To send news and offers, only if you have agreed. You can unsubscribe at any time.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

• Stripe, to process payments securely (Stripe Privacy Policy).
• Booking, email, hosting and messaging providers that help us run the hotel, under confidentiality obligations.
• Authorities, where required by law.

5. International transfers

Some of our service providers, including Stripe, may process data outside Costa Rica, such as in the United States. They protect your data with appropriate safeguards.

6. How long we keep it

We keep booking and payment records for as long as required by tax and accounting law, and other information only as long as needed for the purposes above.

7. Your rights

Under Costa Rica's Law No. 8968 on the Protection of Persons Regarding the Processing of their Personal Data, and other applicable laws (such as the GDPR for guests in the European Union), you can ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, or object to its use. 8. Security

This website uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and payments are handled by Stripe, which is certified to PCI DSS Level 1, the highest standard in the payments industry.

9. Children

Our website is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information online.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version is always published on this page.
